"Wherever you go, there you are", so why not find out what Philly, PA is all about & how to get there for TAKII, ne!?

A commercial, educational, & cultural center, Philadelphia, PA (the host city of TAKII) was once the 2nd-largest community in the British Empire (after London), in addition to being the social & geographical center of the original 13 American colonies. It was in this city that many ideas, & subsequent actions, gave birth to the American Revolution & American Independence, making Philadelphia a centerpiece of early American history. In 2008, the population of the city proper was estimated to be over 1.4 million, while the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area's population of 5.8 million made it the country's 5th-largest. The city is also the 4th-largest consumer media market as ranked by the Nielsen Media Research, making it prime real estate for branding mavens worldwide. Popular nicknames for Philadelphia include "Philly" & "The City Of Brotherly Love".

Named after the numerous universities & colleges that were founded here, University City (the exact area where The Rotunda, TAKII's venue, is located) was Philadelphia's 1st suburb & is home to distinctive urban neighborhoods of wide porches, tree-lined streets, restaurants & cafés, & shops. World-renowned centers of entertainment, education, medicine, & technology, in addition to residents of diverse backgrounds, lend University City its intellectual & international flavor. Anyone lucky enough to visit this area of Philly will take with them memories that will surely last a lifetime. BELIEVE IT!

TAKII 24 ~The Power Of Love~ comes at you from The Rotunda (host to every season of TAKII since TAKII 3 ~Video Game Ecstacy~), located at 4014 Walnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19104. A community gathering place for the promotion of positivity & culture, this venue (led by its Director, Gina Renzi) is fueled by the belief that art is a catalyst for social change & can lead to the formation of meaningful partnerships between the University Of Pennsylvania & the Greater Philadelphia region. Over 300 events are presented every year at The Rotunda from all over the entertainment spectrum, but none can be called "the world's most extreme Asian culture fusion festival" except for The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational. May the hallowed halls of this building ring with the sounds of the TAKII Family for many years to come!

On February 18th, 1964, the Pennsylvania General Assembly established the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) to provide public transit services for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery & Philadelphia Counties. Today, SEPTA is the nation’s 5th largest public transportation system, with a vast network of fixed route services. For TAKII fans who already reside in the tri-state area (PA, NJ, &/or DE), or are able to get there by way of like-minded area transit systems (like New Jersey's PATCO, New York's MTA, Delaware's DART, or the nationally-acclaimed GreyhoundAmtrak bus lines), it has become a cost-effective, drama-free, transport alternative to/from the fusion festival:

For those TAKII fanatics out there who insist that public transit just "ain't your thang", then we encourage that you rent a taxi, or carpool to TAKII 24 ~The Power Of Love~. Do you really want to be carrying all of your swag on a long walk home long after midnight? We didn't think so ^_*. Here are some snazzy places you can get quick & easy-to-follow directions:
